Rafting

Filed under: Travel — ajaymat @ 6:00 am

Blogspot is very annoying at times. I wrote a complete big paragraph about this post of mine and when I was publishing the same, all my content were washed off. It does not have a proper drafting mechanism. yikes… I don’t remember what all I wrote just 10 minutes ago.

I was writing about the rafting trip with fidelity friends. The trip started with overnight journey to Byasi, a village near Rishikesh. The final venue was still a kilometer down the hill, invlolved a tiring tracking down to the river bank. The River was flowing surrounded by mountains. The non stop echo of the water splash on the rocks formed an ambience very different and soothing than the noisy city. It was an exhilarating transition from the whirls of work to the whirls of Ganges. The best part of the trip was the rafting through the high waves and deep turbulent rapids; few of the rapids were located in the area with not many rocks, which allowed us to do body surfing on the wavy bed in the lap of Ganga Maiya. Though the water was chilled enough to cause shivers still it was just a short lived fear of cold and churning waves. We stayed there for 2 nights and 2 days. Evenings were busy playing volleyball on the river beach. had a nice trip and came to know there is still lot more for me to visit in north india.

When Opal Mehta Could not Get a Life’

Filed under: Transparency — ajaymat @ 3:13 am

Weather it was intentional or not, Kavya (click for news ) should be appreciated for her work. Certainly she has put tremendous effort to make her work live and acclaim it a Best seller. As she explained she is a fan of McCafferty and read most of her books. It can be a mere happenstance that the lines are identical to the McCafferty’s work. More over the identical looking lines are part of a para which gives entirely different notion in the sequence of the written text.

Here is an exerpt of the work which is identical

McCafferty’s book, page 6: “Sabrina was the brainy Angel. Yet another example of how every girl had to be one or the other: Pretty or smart.”
Viswanathan’s novel, page 39: “Moneypenny was the brainy female character. Yet another example of how every girl had to be one or the other: smart or pretty.”

More probable reason of why McCafferty taking it so seriously is because she is being green-eyed from the success of a child prodigy. dont worry kavya …it worked well for you… you are now known all over the world. people know more about you rather than about McC…

TO KAVYA …
Come out with another version of opal mehta , leave the old allegations beside!
Dont bother about the Rivals because Neighbour’s envy owner’s pride !!

But… Keep your butt away..

Filed under: Uncategorized — ajaymat @ 3:14 am

It was all going fine till the co-passenger from the other side of the aisle, pressed the call bell to get some assistance from the cabin crew. The well mannered ravishing air hostess came to listen to her valued customer to find out how can she help him. This fellow flyer has some big problem and needed a proper attention of the cabin crew. The air hostess was listening very carefully to this man there.. due to some harsh sound of the aircraft probably she wasn’t able to hear the customer clearly and bent down toward his face and unfortunately during this natural action she has to bulge out her hips towards me…. this was taking a long time to explain and I was feeling uneasy… really… I was trying to find out why is that happening to me ? asked half a dozen questions to myself about what kinda reaction I do have for this… and later I realized that I’ve got this new kinda disease which I named Fartophobia… the fear of fart … is it funny ?? Not really…. It happens to many of us..… I tried searching any such thing over the internet… nothins was existing so thought of publishing this weirdest post on my blog :)

  • Causes of fartophobia : research is on, to find more causes.
  • Solutions of fartophobia: keep distance for the time being…. more remedies will be in market soon.

Rang de Basanti

There are very few movies which are such well drafted and makes you think and
hit you deep inside your heart. It is a story about the youth of India that nevertheless
they are intellectuals and smart enough to take on the leadership and convert it
into a beautiful country but they are missing passion and enthusiasm among them.
Their thoughts have been very well addressed that they cannot relate themselves for
sacrificing and dieing for the country. They are aimless and disheartened and are of the view
that it will keep on happening like this and nobody can change it. To them issues
like patriotism and giving one’s life for one’s beliefs is the stuff written in the books. They
would rather prefer partying than are nationalist. But they need to wake up from
the sleeping soul, act responsibly and become one in spirit and engrave the
roots of bureaucracy and corruption. The movie gives the message to youths
to come forward and act wisely rather than just cribbing. The thought provoking
ideas have been very well fitted i.e. “No country is perfect…it needs to be made perfect”
and it demands youth to act and not just remain mere onlookers.

Definitely, there could be better ways to act rather than taken by the actors in the story.
The alternatives are always available but we just need to focus on our aim and explore
for the possibilties. We need not to have more jolts or any other resisting force.. the movie
itself is a call to the generation to take up the challenge for the betterment of the country.
The need of the hour is that we must serve the world we live in!!

incredible india

Sometime in our one of the fastest growing economy, the novel ideas are not respected… they biggest hindrance is the wall of supposed culture and traditions. Unfortunately, In my country, the law and order are considered to be least important regulations. Every driver thinks at least once to jump the traffic signal, every policeman conceives himself to be the owner of the constitution. A Group of Living people Bajrang dal ( Don’t forget to click on the wikilink to see the screening of the activities of the group) claims that the constitution does not reflect Indian culture, it exists with a tremendous influence of British invasion and we will not follow it in any circumstances. ( stated in support of the Meerut operation majnoo) Probably what reflects our culture according to them is that “one has to show that he is a happy married human being even when he/she has no intimacy with his/her partner and forced to relish the relation because he/she is married to this human creature(partner). I am living in a county where movies like Yuva and Swades fall loosely on the box office, and aren’t appraised as they deserve. These movies reflect the image of contemporary India and should be followed closely to make the mainland, presentable to the rest of the world. The difference between having a developed or developing country status comes not only from the basic and financial statistics of the country also it comprises a large proportion of developed minds, where we are lacking to a large extent. It looks really mesmerizing from outside when talk about the Indian development, second fastest growing economy, availability of talent pool. But that still covers up only a small percentage of the population. I agree to the fact that the cultural shift can be the slowest possible process but we really need to identify what’s wrong in our traditions and how long will the tug of war last between the traditional and modern thoughts?

Apologies for appearing here after aeons. More than a month ago when I was a bit regular with blogging, wanted to keep it the same way.. at least one post every week. Remembering the news program of Indian Channel AAJ TAK called “HO NA SAKA” they can cast something like

Ajay every week blog post kar sakta…
Use ek mahine main thoda sa bhee time mil pata..
Aapnee thoughts vo logo se share kar sakta…
Ek aur nayee kitab ka review vo likh pata…

ESA…. HO NA SAKA !!

However I did a lots of things in last month which can take a loads of space on this page, only if I remember them to write :-(
Weekends are being so very hectic in parties, meetups and movies… also went to try Garba during navratra.. dances till my feet started hurting. was fun.

Gathered some courage to read another big book “Catch-22“, heard a lot about this.. one of the best book on the last century, somehow it didn’t interest me much till the first 50 pages. So had to leave in middle(in start infact)
Now trying to read the “Day of the Jackal” . just finished 60 pages.. it is interesting book but whenever I try to read it… dozzzzzzze off… I think I can finish just one huge book in an year :)
no worries… try try …but never cry :-)

PostScript : Those who don’t understand Hindi, please learn. Sorry for not providing you the English subtitles of this post.

Da Vinci Code

O , Draconian devil

Oh, lame saint

you may not find the above code so interesting, cause its written in my blog :-) trust me you will start cracking it once u start reading the Da Vinci Code. One of the best books I’ve ever read. I’m very lazy in reading. I start many books but seldom complete them.. The whole 600 pages of this book will never let u leave it in the middle.

Few of the very known and famous symbols( like Pentacle) and events are explained in such an awesome way to catch hold of reader’s attention. The galleries of Louvre museum are so well depicted in words that you cant stop yourself WOWing.

After completing it I think I want to visit the following places

  • The Louvre Museum :) ) I’ll be happy to have one more visit to Paris

  • Templar’s church- will see anytime.. just 3 mins walk from my office in central london

  • Milan- to see the last supper - missed the visit to Venice and Milan in my Italy trip, will try to see this artwork if get a chance to go there again in future.

  • Edinburgh the last known dwelling of the holy grail in Rosslyne chapel, as per Dan Brown

The worst part of the book is that the suspense of the story still remains hidden as the book ends. probl’y Dan Brown wants to publish sequel to this one ( may be a flop show, happens with most sequels.)

Since i finished this book a month ago, Cant really remember most of the stories and secrets hidden in the paintings of “Leonardo, son of ser Piero, from Vinci(a place in italy)”
